BURNOUT WHILE BEING A MOMPRENEUR
I want to share my journey of being a solopreneur while raising a 16-months old toddler (a.k.a. Mompreneurship), trying to build my business, and everything that comes with it.
Before launching The Digital Madl, I did a lot of studies, did online courses to improve my knowledge, and learning some new skills. And let me tell you, it was definitely a journey.
One Saturday night, I felt so burned-out because my nature has always been that whenever I want to do something, I just get all my soul and efforts into it. I just get so focused and a little bit obsessed to be honest, and just get in a working-working-working mode, and sometimes I just don’t know when to stop!
I guess that’s a good thing, but also bad for me and my mental health. The following morning, I decided to take everything slow and try to have some breaks as I would’ve done it in my old Monday-to-Friday job.
I always said I really loved to work at a company because you just work Monday to Friday and then you forget about it after 7 pm and on weekends. I don’t have that luxury anymore, and I definitely got (and still get) so obsessed when I have my computer next to me, and B (my son) is either playing with A (my husband) or sleeping. I have the time to work on all the things I have to do. And let me tell you, there were MANY before you could see my website, there’s a lot of work behind.
So, I decided to slow things down a little bit. Do my best with the time that I have as a mom (which is definitely less than before), but at a slower pace.
I’ve built a beautiful website and helpful services for you. In the meantime, I decided I should chill down and start resting a bit, give some time to my neurons to regenerate and prepare for the next day.
Lots of information, I know. I’ve never been so public about my thoughts before, but I guess now it’s time. I think it’s right for you as you might relate and feel you’re not the only one going through this as a mompreneur, and also, you can get to know me a bit more and know how I do things and how I roll.
This is it! I’m so happy I told you this, and happy that you get to know my mompreneur journey. I’m planning on having this blog to share my thoughts and experiences as a mompreneur, give you some tick and tricks on branding, web design, and digital marketing, and maybe also some funny stories, who knows?
Welcome, and see you next time!
